As it appears that we are more than capable of Tier 7 raids, I am very pleased with our progress. However, the speed of the raid has become a bit of a liability. I want your input as to the timing of raids.
Thus far, options include: - Weekends only, with a Wednesday raid every other week. Time would be 530 pm EDT. This would be Sat and Sun raids. - Whenever we have coins. 530 EDT whenever we have coins. Never started late, so maximum waiting of 23 hours if we somehow got coins at a weird time. - Attempt to start a raid and have everyone wait 24 hours. Non whales (or anyone who is unsure if they can make the next raid) throw one level 1 toon into the captain for their 1 damage. Whales commence phase 1 beatdown 24 hours after the start of the raid.
The second thought (and this is less flexible IMO) is the pauses. I personally like having the pause until 830 EDT (1 hour after guild reset) and having that solidified means that people can plan around it.
Do understand that tier 7 offers roughly twice the rewards of tier 6, and infinitely more Han shards. As such, missing occasional raids should not be as bad as if we were still doing tier 6 exclusively.
Love, CookieCrispp
PS - I spoke with all your fathers. They said collectively that they were proud of you for tier 7 and they wish they'd hugged you more. Or something to that effect.

First off, cc I commend you for your leadership. It's not easy trying to please 50 people across all kind of time zones.
I'm easy and would go with whatever the majority decides. I'll try to make it as often as I can, and if I miss some I'll live.
Having said that, if we could control ourselves, the 24 hr wait seems like the best solution to help everyone get in on the rewards. As long as we can trust each other to only attack in the first 24 hr if we can't make the actual raid time, and to only do so with a sacrifice toon for minimal damage.

4:30 local time UTC -5 both days of each weekend will be very challenging with my 3 kids. It's actually easier late evening/night any night or weekdays if mid-afternoon.
I can do this once on a weekend but twice while the kids are up gets dirty looks :-)

I'm off classes till next fall, and work schedule is flexible, so anything will work for me. Whatever is best for everyone else.

CC< I would prefer later in the evening if at all possible, dinner with the family can range from 530-630 and I cannot change that since I do not cook. I could even do earlier but if we could schedule anywhere between 7-10 EST /EDT that would be better for me. It delayed me from entering tonight until almost tier 3, so that kinda sucks

I like our times now, it's a nice comfort zone to get in all the good attacks and then be able to hit arena for the payout. Obviously that's for the group of us who IMO have the most competitive payout time.
I don't think the wait 24 hours would really work out, having 50 people follow an exact plan is hard to organize in a game. I mean look at several people today.
It's impossible to please every person, but once we decide our raiding time then we will continue to recruit based on that. I would like to see almost all 50 getting an attack in and not 40 like we've had.

I too am pretty easy, any time more or less works for me. Pretty stoked on our progress so far, and I really enjoy how casual the guild is. Great job so far CC!

At the moment our next raid is scheduled for Tuesday. Paarn, would 500 pm work better for you?(shifting forward half an hour). I'm loathe to shift it too far in either direction, as it could alienate either our euros or our pacific/mountain time zone players.
I'd like some input from our pacific based whales on a shift of 1/2 an hour forward for raid start.

CC, to be honest I don't know if 5 EST / EDT would be any better and may be (actually) worse, as I get home anywhere from 4:45-5:30. While appreciated, please note that you don't have to shift it just because of me. I was just throwing out there the best / preferable times but I can almost always get away from dinner at some point (usually). if 5:30 works for everyone else then keep it 5:30... I'll do what I can, as I said it should work most days but cannot guarantee everyday. Like yesterday, it did not work out because the wife was ready exactly at 5:30... So nothing I could do :-)
I was already walking a thin line from previous comments to her while playing this game... I was afraid to take it any further.

I'm in the minority in terms of time zones I think, as I'm UTC+8, so I definitely appreciate a pause until 20:30 EDT (8:30 AM for me). This would allow me to get in my attacks on the occasions that I cannot wake up earlier or afford to play in the early morning.
However I am not a whale though and hence possess a limited roster of 10-11 7*s, so I can still understand if our guild plans the raid schedule around the majority. Appreciate being a part of the team, thanks CC and everyone else!
